The Transparency in Coverage rules administered by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Department of Health and Human Services require insurance health carriers and group plan sponsors to post information about the costs to participants, beneficiaries, and enrollees for in network and out-of-network healthcare services through machine-readable files (MRF) on a public website.
